Yarn Harvest is this weekend! I can't believe its here already!
Hosted by the Fraser Valley Knitters' Guild, Yarn Harvest is an annual event in which you are encouraged to get out there and
buy yarn in visit as many yarn stores as possible. This year's event has been expanded to two days, giving to time to visit even more yarn stores, from here on the West Side, all the way out to Chilliwack.
Here at Wet Coast Wools, we like to make Yarn Harvest a bit of a party - yummy treats, good friends, free loot bags, and even a few prizes to raffle off. Our main prize this year comes to us courtesy of our wonderful friends at Imperial Yarn - a Rhombus Feather Shawl kit, which includes two skeins of beautiful Tracie Too yarn in Teal Shadow. Be sure to fill out a ballot when you come by - the draw will take place at our drop-in knitting on Monday night! (winners will be notified by email - you don't have to be present at the draw to win).
To give you extra shopping time during the Yarn Harvest, we we be open on Friday from 10am to 7pm and Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
If you are driving to the store, remember that free street parking in front of the store is limited to 2 hours. If you want to stay longer - and perhaps have lunch or a coffee at one of the local restaurants or cafes - there is unlimited free street parking on 4th Avenue just west of Bayswater Street, as well as on 3rd and 5th Avenues. Just make sure to check the signs - you wouldn't want to have to waste good yarn money on a parking ticket!
Happy Harvesting Everyone!
