English Longwool, Brought Over By Romans, Very Odd looking sheeps
Supposedly have a blueish toned face caused by a white hazy fur over their black faces
Longer staple fibre, durable, less pilling and longer wearing. Can have a slight sheen to it depending on how it is dyed. Buttery soft because it is a fine haired longwool.
Raw fleece is looks like a tight spring, which is what makes the sheep breed so amazing.

This is for our top-down pullover class. Knoll Coast, Lambswool & Cotton, colour Nimbus, 4mm needles. I thought it was because my gauge swatch lied - my gauge was 18 sts per 4”, not 20 sts, therefore the sweater is 44”, not 37.5”. Went back and found my original version of the pattern - notes on that pattern said to knit the size down because my gauge was not the same as the pattern said. So I didn’t follow my own directions!!
I need to frog this sweater, but kind of don’t want to knit it again. Maybe I’ll use this yarn for something else, and make this sweater with something else.
