Wet Coast Wools - WetCoastWools on all the things

FOs (Finished Objects)

Glenda:

  • Après Ski Hats - used up leftovers from the Peak to Creek cowl that I designed last fall. 4 hats total; one is the Conversationalist Hat exactly, the rest just use the numbers and decrease counts of that pattern.

  • Santi Cowl - pattern by Karen Clement, used only 1 skein of Illimani Santi instead of 2. Great gift for only $17.

  • Napa Valley scarf (woven) - made with yarn from Napa Yarns in California - Chasing Rainbows Dyeworks Texas in Nosegay colourway. This yarn is half mohair and a little itchy… :\ The warp is Holst Garn Coast in Army.

  • Minty Blanket - an acrylic blanket made for charity. I started it last year with vintage yarn was given to me by Vicky.

  • Shetland Scarf that I wove on my Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom. Uses Harrisville Shetland Tweed in Garnet, using a pattern from an Interweave ebook. Thanks to Grete for the loan of the fringe twister!

Stash Dash Total 7,988m

Kelsey:

  • Test Knit for Josee Paquin aka UandIKnit. In Crafty JAK’s Tough and Tender fingering yarn, colourway is Whisper.

  • Vanilla Socks for the hubby, in Drops Fabel colour 677.

Stash Dash Total 2,792m.

WIPS (Works in Progress)

Glenda

  • Las Vegas Socks made with Lane Cervinia yarn that we bought in Vegas.

  • I have started a new woven scarf with Rain City Knits sock yarn in Kaleidoscope and light teal.

Kelsey

  • Dog Sweater by Louise Bollanos for the new beagle in the family

  • Svalbardgenser - Svalbardsweater by Cecilie Kaurin and Linn Bryhn Jacobsen, in Holst Garn Supersoftcolours, Indigo, Pussy Willow, Nougat, Aquamarine, Calypso and Sunrise. More expensive pattern but very well written and laid out. I’ve added a steeking panel to turn it into a cardigan.

  • Vanilla socks in Jawoll Color #159 - Purple. These were knit on the Circular Sock Machine, and the toes, cuffs, and heels will be done by hand.

Store News

  • Our new KAL is a Holst-a-long! Knit, crochet, or weave(!) anything with one of the Holst Garn Yarns - Coast, Tides, or Supersoft (Or Samarkand, which was the predecessor to Tides).

The KAL started on July 1st and will end on September 30th - this is just in time for Knit City, so maybe you can make a Knit City Sweater

There will be a chatter thread and a prize thread. Enter your finished items as posts in the prize thread

  • 1 entry for 1 - 299m
  • 2 entries for 300 - 999m (ie: post the item two times)
  • 3 entries for 1000m+ (ie: post the item 3 times)

UFOs count if they were less than 50% finished as of the 1st of July. You can enter as many finished items as you like

Karen, woven projects are allowed!
