The Spongdal Toque is a DK weight, colourwork hat designed by our own Kelsey Zachary.
Inspired by a trip to visit friends in Norway, Kelsey came home addicted to all the beautiful colourwork she had seen. This hat was designed to remind her of her trip! There are two options for the colourwork designs as well as a blank chart for you to try and design your own.
The pattern covers sizes Child through Adult Large, in both fitted and slouchy versions.
This hat is designed for Double Knitting weight yarn such as K-Zip Knits Dunbar DK or Katia Merino 100%. You will require 50g of the main colour and about 20g of the contrast colour.
To knit the hat, you will require 16"/40cm circular needles in 3.25mm/US3 and 3.5mm/US4. You will also require 3.5mm/US4 double pointed needles.
