Brioche Cowl Class

Brioche is a style of knitting that uses yarn overs and k2togs to create a dense, squishy fabric. Although not overly difficult, it is difficult to fix mistakes in broche, and can therefore be a little intimidating to attempt on your own.

In this 3-hour workshop, you will learn to work two-colour ribbed brioche while creating a simple cowl. The instructor will review the common terms of brioche patterns, and show you how to work the stitches. Although you may not complete the cowl in class, you will leave with all the skills necessary to finish.

During the class, you will also learn several different ways to cast on a project, including the Italian Cast-on, the I-cord Cast-on, and the Tubular cast-on. These cast on methods are often used in Bricohe projects to make decorative edgings.; but are equally effective in projects of all kinds.

This class is for intermediate level knitters and above.
