Knitting 101

Want to learn to knit? Our beginning knitting courses are for absolute beginners and for knitters who are returning to the craft after a long break.

Over the three sessions of this class, you will knit fingerless mitts or a cozy winter hat, while learning all the skills you need, from the cast-on, knitting flat and in the round, all the way to some finishing skills.

We will also discuss how to choose yarns for a specific pattern, how and why to create gauge swatches, and how to read commercial patterns.

By the end of our time together (some homework will be required), you'll be ready to move on to the "Choose your own adventure" Class.
