Learn to knit socks from the cuff-down using the Magic Loop Technique! We will be making a pair of hiking socks, with a heel flap and turned heel.
Over three 2 hour sessions we will complete one worsted-weight sock. Students will be required to do knitting homework between classes.
This class is intended for intermediate level knitters. Students must know how to cast-on and off, knit, purl, pick up stitches, and work basic increases and decreases. Experience knitting in the round is strongly recommended. Other necessary skills will be covered in class. 4 students per class.

Approximately 150g (300m) of worsted-weight yarn (this will make a small men's/ladies medium pair of socks. Extra yarn is required for larger sizes). Suggestions include Custom Woolen Mills 2-Ply Mulespun, Diamond Luxury Collection Tradition, or Briggs & Little Heritage. Please do not bring 4-Ply Sock yarn for this class.
One 4mm circular needle, at least 32"/80cm in length.
One 40g skein of sock reinforcement thread (optional).
Stitch markers, a measuring tape, and a yarn/tapestry needle are also recommended.
