Uradale yarns come from native Shetland sheep raised on an organic farm. Each step of the process (the scouring, spinning and dyeing) are also certified organic and fully traceable. Because the yarn is never bleached, the lanolin remains and allows for a stronger and softer yarn.
The yarn comes in both undyed natural shades that reflect the colours of the flock, and dyed colourways, inspired by the flowers of the land the sheep roam freely. Each year brings natural variations in colour.
