Returns (Store Credit Only)

Eligible for return:
Regular-priced yarn that is unused, unwound, and in original condition.
Receipt required for in-store returns.
Final sale (no exchange, no return, no refund):
Sale or clearance yarn, products other than yarn, and special-order items.
Wet Coast Wools offers returns for store credit only. Refunds are not available, except in the case of confirmed defective items.
If you have questions about eligibility, dye lots, or whether a product is suitable for your project, please contact us before placing your order. Returns are assessed strictly according to the policy below.
Shipped Returns
Return Request & Approval
- Return requests must be submitted by email and include the order number.
- Returns must be approved by Wet Coast Wools before being shipped back.
- Returns sent without prior approval will be rejected and not accepted.
Eligibility & Timeframe
To be eligible for store credit:
- Regular-priced yarn only may be returned, and must be unused, unwound, and in original condition.
- Return requests must be made within 7 days of delivery.
- Approved returns must be shipped back within 10 days of delivery.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Items that do not meet these conditions will be rejected.
If a return is received and does not meet eligibility requirements, the customer may pay return shipping to have the item shipped back to them. Items not reclaimed may be disposed of at our discretion.
Store Credit Issuance
- Approved returns are issued as store credit only, subject to inspection.
- Store credit does not include original or return shipping costs.
- Store credit is not tied to the availability of any specific product and does not expire.
- If an item the customer wishes to purchase with store credit is out of stock or not restocked, the store credit remains valid for use on any eligible future purchase.
- Lack of product availability does not convert store credit into a refund.
- Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- Store credit issued at the store may be redeemed in store only.
- Store credit issued online may be redeemed online only.
Free Shipping Adjustments
If an order originally qualified for free shipping and yarn is returned in full or in part, causing the remaining order value to fall below the free shipping threshold, the applicable flat-rate shipping fee will be deducted from the store credit issued.
Return Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless yarn is confirmed to be defective.
Returned yarn must be shipped with a tracking number. We are not responsible for items lost in return transit without tracking.
If a return is shipped from outside Canada, any duties, taxes, or customs fees incurred by Wet Coast Wools to receive the return will be deducted from the store credit issued.
In-Store Returns
In-store returns are accepted under the following conditions:
- The original receipt is required.
- Returns must be made within 60 days of purchase.
- Regular-priced yarn only may be returned and must be unused, unwound, and in original condition.
- Sale or clearance yarn and all products other than yarn are final sale (no return, no exchange, no refund).
Approved in-store returns are issued as store credit only.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and are not eligible for exchange, return, or refund:
- Sale or clearance yarn
- Products other than yarn
- Custom or special-order items
Dye Lots
Yarn is dyed in batches, and dye lot variations may occur.
- Customers are responsible for purchasing sufficient quantities for a project in a single order.
- For a single order, all skeins are shipped from the same dye lot.
- Colours may vary due to dye lot, screen, and device differences.
- We cannot guarantee matching dye lots for purchases made at a later date.
- Requests for specific dye lots must be made before placing an order.
Defective Items
If a product arrives defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with clear photos and a description of the issue.
- Once reviewed, defective items may be refunded or replaced at our discretion.
- Items damaged due to use, handling, or normal wear are not considered defective.
Refusal of Returns
Wet Coast Wools reserves the right to:
- refuse returns that are abusive, excessive, or non-compliant with this policy, and
- refuse future return requests from customers with a history of repeated or abusive returns.
Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled before processing only.
- Once an order has entered processing, it cannot be cancelled.
- Requests to cancel must be submitted promptly after placing the order. We cannot guarantee cancellation if processing has begun.
- Approved cancellations may be subject to a 10% processing fee, deducted from the order total. This policy reflects non-recoverable processing and transaction costs incurred by Wet Coast Wools at the time of purchase.
- Local pickup orders follow the same cancellation rules as shipped orders.
Policy Agreement
By placing an order with Wet Coast Wools, you confirm that you have read and agree to our Shipping & Pickup policy and Return Policy. These policies apply to all orders once checkout is completed.
