Returns & Refunds
We accept returns on online orders within 14 days of delivery or pickup.
Eligibility
- Regular-priced yarn only
- Items must be unused, unwound, and in original condition
- Proof of purchase is required
Refund method
- Approved returns are issued as store credit only
Shipping
- Shipping fees are non-refundable
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs
Returns (Store Credit Only)
Wet Coast Wools offers returns for store credit only. Refunds are not available, except in the case of confirmed defective items.
Final sale items are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
If you have questions about eligibility, dye lots, or product suitability, we recommend contacting us before placing your order.
Shipped Returns
Return Request & Approval
- Return requests must be submitted by email and include the order number
- Returns must be approved before being shipped back
- Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted
Eligibility & Timeframe
To be eligible for store credit:
- Regular-priced yarn only may be returned
- Items must be unused, unwound, and in original condition
- Return requests must be made within 14 days of delivery
Approved returns must be shipped within the 14-day return window.
Items that do not meet these conditions will not be accepted.
If a return is received and does not meet eligibility requirements, the customer may pay return shipping to have the item returned to them. Items not reclaimed may be disposed of at our discretion.
Store Credit Issuance
- Store credit is issued after inspection of approved returns
- Store credit does not include original or return shipping costs
- Store credit does not expire
- Store credit is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
Store credit issued in-store may be redeemed in-store only.
Store credit issued online may be redeemed online only.
Free Shipping Adjustments
If an order originally qualified for free shipping and a return reduces the order value below the free shipping threshold, the applicable flat-rate shipping fee may be deducted from the store credit issued.
Return Shipping
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless an item is confirmed defective
- Returns must be sent with tracking
- Wet Coast Wools is not responsible for items lost in return transit
For international returns, any duties, taxes, or customs fees incurred may be deducted from the store credit issued.
Refused Deliveries & Return to Sender
Orders refused at delivery or returned to sender are not considered approved returns. If reshipment is requested, additional shipping charges will apply.
In-Store Purchases
Purchases made in-store follow a separate return policy:
- Returns accepted within 60 days of purchase
- Original receipt required
- Regular-priced yarn only
- Items must be unused, unwound, and in original condition
Approved returns are issued as store credit only.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund:
- Sale or clearance yarn
- Products other than yarn
- Custom or special-order items
Dye Lots
Yarn is dyed in batches, and variations may occur.
- Customers are responsible for purchasing sufficient quantities for a project in a single order
- Orders are fulfilled with matching dye lots
- We cannot guarantee matching dye lots for future purchases
- Colours may vary due to dye lot, screen, and device differences.
Requests for specific dye lots must be made before placing an order.
Defective Items
If a product arrives defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos and a description.
Defective items may be refunded or replaced.
Items damaged through use or normal wear are not considered defective.
Uncollected Pickup Orders
Orders not collected within 60 days of notification may be cancelled or restocked at our discretion. Store credit may be issued minus applicable fees.
Refusal of Returns
Wet Coast Wools reserves the right to refuse returns that are excessive, abusive, or non-compliant with this policy.
Order Cancellation
Orders may be cancelled only before a tracking number has been issued.
Once a tracking number has been issued, the order is considered processed and cannot be cancelled.
Approved cancellations may be subject to a 10% processing fee to cover non-recoverable transaction costs.
Local pickup orders follow the same cancellation rules as shipped orders.
