Pernilla is a 3-ply yarn spun from 100% wool. The wool used for Pernilla comes from Peruvian highland sheep, a crossbreed between corriedale and merino. The sheep graze on the Peruvian highlands, which contributes to the wool being extra fluffy.
Pernilla is worsted spun, which makes the strand round and very even. This gives a beautiful stitch definition and therefore Peruvian is extremely suitable for cables, texture patterns and stranded knitting.
